Online Classes
The classes
below are offered through the Online Consortium of Independent
Colleges and Universities (OCICU). OCICU courses selected by
Wesley College will be available to students to take for Wesley
College credit. Even though credit is granted and transcripted
by Wesley College, OCICU courses are taught using faculty and
online course learning systems from certain other institutions.
Online courses are restricted to students who are enrolled
exclusively in Wesley’s evening programs. Register and pay
for OCICU courses as you would any other Wesley College course:

BA 411 Conflict Management
Prepares
students to identify, avoid, or manage common types of conflicts
within organizations. Presents communication styles and

BA 418 Organizational Communication
Surveys contemporary organizational communication theories and
practices. Investigates issues such as diversity, participation,
technology, corporate ethics, the environment, and

BA 437 Persuasion, Influence and Motivation
Examines the general theories that explain persuasion and one's
ability to influence others. Discusses communication skills,
attitudes, and competencies associated with persuasion,
influence and motivation. Enables students to learn and practice
powerful persuasion communication skills which will enhance both
personal and profession success. (First Summer 08

BA 441 Team Leadership
Examines leadership and its impact on team development,
communication, quality of decision-making, and performance.
Includes course activities and discussions that explore types of
teams, leadership roles, member selection, team development and
culture, trust and collaboration, barriers to performance,
performance feedback, and leading global teams. (First Summer

ECO 202 Macroeconomics
This course explores the manner in which the overall levels of
output, income, employment and prices are determined in a
capitalist economy. The focus is on the forces that act to shape
these factors and determine their fluctuations. The role of
government fiscal and monetary policy in influencing the level
of economic activity is also a major area of study. The impact
of international transactions on the domestic economy also is

FIN 250 Personal Financial Planning
This course provides an overview of personal financial
decision-making. The course uses the life cycle approach and
emphasizes financial planning for each phase of life. Topics
covered include career planning, budgeting, use of credit,
insurance, investments, retirement planning and income tax

LIT 203 American Colonial Literature and the American
Dream
This course principally examines the period from 1620 - with the
settlement of Plymouth Plantation - through the Constitutional
Convention of 1787. Although there is some attention to the
literature of early discovery (Harriot, Champlain, Smith, etc.),
the focus is on literary texts of major historical interest and
on authors who pursued the American Dream of economic,
religious, political and artistic freedom. Bradford, Williams,
Bradstreet, Rowlandson, Taylor, Mather, Sewall, Knight, Syrd,
Franklin, the Adamses, Woolman, Paine, Jefferson, DeCrevecouer,
Tyler and Wheatley are among the authors studied. (Second

MKT 301 Principles of Marketing
The basic course provides the student with fundamental
principles in the marketing of goods, services, and ideas
including planning, pricing, promotion and distribution.
Attention is directed to global marketing, marketing ethics, and
managing the marketing function. (Certain prereq exist)

PSY 108 Introduction to Psychology
This course is an introduction to various areas of psychology,
including scientific investigation, motivation, personality,
intelligence, behavioral deviation, perception, learning and
human development. It provides a basis for further study in
